Outdoor transparent solar shades make patios, decks, porches, pergolas, lanais and gazebos more comfortable. Designed to block the sun's heat and glare and reduce fading, the woven fabric also allows air to pass though for ventilation. Outdoor shades stop more heat than interior ones. They can save up to 60% in air conditioning costs. Weathershield Shades are constructed from the toughest polyester and PVC exterior screening fabric on the market, rated #1 in durability and performance. Custom manufactured to your exact specifications, these shades provide daytime privacy during daylight hours with full vision outwards. Darkest colors stop heat by 10% more than the lighter colors. Weathershield fabrics are more mildew resistant due to the addition of a biocide in the vinyl coating.
Our outdoor shades are built to last. All shades are triple locked to rust proof rollers and then sealed with a weatherproof bond to protect against the elements. Exterior rated clutches have stainless steel internal springs to avoid rust. Chains are UV resistant and won't break down. Brackets are marine grade with a rust proof coating or stainless upgrades are available. Shades are constructed with a heavy duty aluminum weight bar at the bottom to prevent fraying. This bar is available in white, black, bronze or anodized and is secured to the welded bottom weight pocket. On the left and right hand sides of this bottom bar are tie down loops, which are used to tie down the shade either to hooks or a Bungee cord. An optional cable systemon each side of the shade helps stabilize the shade movement in windy conditions and can also serve as a tie down for motorized shades. Optional side channels are offered in white, bronze, black or anodized. Fascias in matching colors are available to hide the roller. A reverse roll to hide the roller is offered at no charge.
Our brackets are universal so shades can be mounted inside the frame, outside the frame or from the top down.
Maximum dimension for Weathershield Shades is 144" wide x 134" high. Weathershield material comes 96" wide. The longest shade without a seam is 96" wide x 134" high. The widest shade without a visible seam is 144" wide x 94" high. Seams are sonically welded for the strongest possible bonding. Large shades will have an additional loop in the center.
Shades are shipped with all the necessary hardware. Our brackets are universal so shades can be mounted inside the frame, outside the frame or from the top down. Chain lengths are 3/4's of the way down the shade. Please specify if you need longer chains.
