North Solar Screen takes cords and child safety seriously. Our shades are available cordless (recommended where young children are present.) All cord shades have safety tensioners to reduce the hazards of cord strangulation or entanglement or they can be motorized.

Motorization Option: Battery operated radio motor in head rail, includes 16 1/2" battery wand with 8 lithium batteries, wand can mount to back of head rail or clip to a wall, 1 channel or 5 channel remotes for multiple shades. Please tell us how you want the remotes set. Multi channel remotes can operate up to 100 shades. The last button opens and closes them simultaneously. Wall switches and timers are available as an option.

The notched shade is placed between two tracks made of durable high tech plastic in white or golden oak that blend with your window casement. With the help of a special bottom rail and end caps the shade moves smoothly along the sidetracks.

Standard and Standard Top Down Bottom Up Lift System:Minimum inside soffit surface (Underside of the ceiling or top of window frame.) is 1 1/2". Flush Mounted Shades need a minimum of 2" of depth on the sides. Shallow Mounted Shades need 1/2" of depth on the sides.
Cord Loop Lift System: Minimum inside soffit surface (top part of window closest to ceiling) is 1 5/8". Flush Mounted Shades need a minimum of 2 1/4" of depth on the sides. Shallow Mounted Shades need 3/4" depth on the sides.

For all shades: The widest width of the window cannot exceed the narrowest width by more than 1/2". ComfortTracks can not be used on window frames that are very warped.
Side Tracks are easy to install. They attach to the window casings with adhesive backed magnetic strips so you can remove them to tilt in windows for cleaning.
Shades are notched to fit over the track to increase privacy by closing side light gaps between the shade and window frames.
These systems cannot be motorized.

Our brackets are universal so Symphony Light Filtering Cellular Shades can be mounted inside the frame, outside the frame or from the top down. Shades are shipped with all the necessary hardware. Chain lengths are 3/4's of the way down the shade. All cords come with child proof tensioners. Please specify if you need longer cords.
