These energy efficient skylight shades offer excellent heat reduction and save energy. Pleated Skylight Shades are attractive and easy to install. White or aluminum backed skylight shade fabrics reflect out the sun's rays in the summer keeping the room cool and reducing air conditioning costs. Metalized skylight shade fabrics also help reradiate the room's heat in the winter. Long lasting pleats provide a high degree of sound absorption. Skylight shades are available manually operated or motorized. There are no side channels with this skylight shade system. These skylight shades can also be used in vertical window applications.

Ring Pull with Telescoping Pole
Pleated Skylight Shades can be ordered with the options below. Pleated Skylight Shades come with installation hardware. Shades should be mounted 4" from the top of the skylight well.
Ring Pull: The ring pull is on the right side of the skylight opening. There must be a clear path directly below so the shade can be pulled in a straight line. Minimum dimensions are 12" x 18". Maximum dimensions are 48" x 72". Shades are operated under constant tension for 0-90 degree slope orientation. (Order a 7 foot telescoping pole with hook for $35) Total skylight shade area must not exceed 18 square feet.
Handle: For reachable skylights you can operate by hand. The handle is centered on the bottom of the skylight shade. There must be a clear path directly below the handle so the shade can be pulled in a straight line. Minimum dimensions are 12" x 18". Maximum dimensions are 48" x 72". Total skylight shade area must not exceed 18 square feet. Total skylight shade area must not exceed 18 square feet. Skylight Shades are operated under constant tension for 0-90 degree slope orientation.
Motorized:
Minimum width 20" Maximum height 60"
Maximum size for light blocking fabrics is 48" x 60". Total shade area must not exceed 18 square feet.
Motors must be mounted at the top of the skylight on sloped skylights
Battery Operated:
Infrared Motor is mounted in the headrail with a built in receiver eye.
Battery Pack is 1 1/2" wide and 7" long.
Motor powered with 6 AA Lithium Batteries.
Remote Control Transmitter requires 1 "A-23" 12V Alkaline battery (Similar to a battery for a garage door opener.). It has a maximum range of 15'.

Hardwired motor is mounted in the headrail on the right.
