Exterior solar shades are designed to block heat transfer, control blinding glare and reduce fade. They can save up to 60% in air conditioning costs. Natte fiberglass shades are premium quality. They are custom manufactured to your exact dimensions. Perfect for patios, decks, porches, windows, sliding glass doors and patio doors they provide privacy during daylight hours with full vision outwards. Darker colors stop heat 10% more than lightest colors and are better at glare reduction.
Natte fabrics are more resistant to the elements. Ranging in openness from 9-14%, the glass fibers provide excellent dimensional stability and when combined with Plastisol insure longevity, UV stability, resistance to tough weather conditions (heat and cold) and chemical agents. The Plastisol coating at 1/100th of a millimeter, also insures the perfect regularity of the fiber and guarantees both transparency and flatness of the fabric when installed.
Natte material comes 98" wide. The widest shade that can be manufactured to ship is 144". If the dimensions of your shade are wider than 98" but less than 96" no seam is required. (Ex. 100" x 95") If your shade dimensions are wider than 98" and higher than 96" (Ex. 100" x 100") a horizontal seam 1/2" wide will be required. We sonically weld our seams so that they will not come apart.
Shades are constructed with an aluminum weight bar at the bottom. This bar is available in white, black, bronze or anodized and is secured to the welded bottom weight pocket. On the left and right hand sides of this bottom bar are tie down loops, which are used to tie down the shade either to hooks or a Bungee cord. An optional cable system on each side of the shade helps stabilize the shade movement and can also serve as a tie down for motorized shades. Optional side channels are offered in white, bronze, black or anodized. The 2 1/2" width is recommended. Fascias in matching colors are available to hide the roller. A reverse roll to hide the roller is offered at no charge.
Natte Shades have excellent durability. Exposed to rain and sun, shades made of Natte fiberglass fabrics keep their new look for a very long time. They are color fast to light and have uncommon resistance to wear and tear.
Resistance to the Elements: Exposed to rain, temperature variations, direct sunlight and resistance to ultraviolet light over a cycle of 2,000 hours fabrics achieved a rating of 4-5 out of 5 on the Gray Scale Weather Meter International Technical Performance Test.
Dimensional Stability: Following 7 days in a heat bath at 126 degrees the alteration of the fabrics dimensions is less than 0.2%.
Rot resistance: Natte fabrics are totally rot -proof and can be wet rolled with no negative effects
Porosity to Air: The porous quality gives Natte fabrics their superb transparency and enables effective ventilation to eliminate heat build-up between the blind and the glass
Fireproof Performance: Natte fabrics meet safety standards for high rise buildings and public places
