INSTALLING CORD GUIDE
The cord guide or chain tension device reduces the hazards of cord strangulation or entanglement for children. Mount it to the side of the window frame for an inside mount, or to the frame or wall for an outside mount so that it doesn't interfere with the raising and lowering of the shade. Do not apply tension to chain or pull down hard on it. Stretching it will cause excessive wear. The chain should run through freely. Snap off the tiny plastic post holding the rounded section. Holding the tension device upright as shown and in position, insert the chain and secure the screw through the hole. The mounting screw must be secured into a solid surface.
