A fixed frame solar screen is a great alternative a solar shade on a roller. Outdoor rated solar shade material is locked inside a 1" x 7/16" aluminum frame which is then secured to the window. Outdoor solar shades stop more heat than indoor shades because they block the sun's rays before they have a chance to enter and convert to heat. Solar shade material reduces glare and harmful uv rays. Outdoor solar shades can save up to 60% in air conditioning costs and can reduce indoor temperatures up to 20 degrees. We offer different densities of fabric to control the amount of light. Darker solar shades fabrics give sharper outward visibility and better glare reduction.
Our Fixed Frame Solar Screens can also be used for skylights indoors. We offer 4 frame colors: White, Almond, Adobe, and Dark Brown with matching solar shade fabric selection.

"L" Channel - Inside Frame Mount: All inside frame mount panels will come with an L channel (1" x 1") that is the same length as the short side of the panel. For outside mount, the panels can also come with clips if requested.
Install the "L" channel to the inside short ends of the opening using predrilled holes. Be sure the channel is secure and level.
Insert the panel into the opening so that it rests on installed "L" channel and center.
Panel Clips - Outside Frame Mount: Two people are recommended if installing into a ceiling application. Clips and screws will be provided, the provided screws will be for a typical installation, the installer will need to ensure these are correct or use the proper screws for the application.
Install the 6 provided clips to the area surrounding the panel so that the holder on the clip will secure the panel when tightened. (We recommend holding the panel up and marking where the edges will fall, this will make the placement of the clips much easier.)
After installing the clips hold the panel in place and tighten each clip to secure the panel.
