Double Pulley/Bottom Up Shade

Double Pull Use for Inside or Outside Frame Mount
This is a spring roller under constant load.

The maximum width this shade can be is 72". The maximum finished height this shade can be is 72". The finished height includes the 10 inches of material that needs to be added to wrap around the roller.

The shade system mounts either between frames (install using the bracket side holes) or on the frames or from the ceiling (install using the bent foot part of the bracket). For outside frame mounts the shade should overlap the opening by at least 2” per side for the best coverage. A single cord operates shade. The double pulley forces the shade to remain level along the full opening length.

The cord runs from the fixed eye screw through two pulleys mounted on the Décor Bar and then through the directional pulley at the opposite side of the opening. The cord then runs to a cord lock.

Concept: The shade roller stops are removed; the shade remains under tension at all times. The shade is held open by an external cord lock. The constant pressure both pulls the shade flat and returns it to a rolled up position when the cord lock is released. The cord can hang down from the skylight or be tracked across the ceiling and down a wall.

Bottom Up Shade Alternate Concept
The brackets are installed on the bottom window sill, the shade pulls up. The shade is under full control because of the double Pulleys following the Top Eye Screw and Pulley. After the installation the shade will not stop. It remains under a constant load and requires an external Cord and Lock to remain open. The constant pull of the spring roller with the shade bottom locked in place pulls the material flat. Shade can now operate in a horizontal or slanted window design.
