Fade Protection for Retail Display Windows	Smoke/Tint Store Front Window Shade

Storefront Window Shades reduce fading and bleaching of merchandise, store fixtures and furniture from ultra violet light. Our shades still allow customers to see into your store or business while protecting your inventory.

Display window shade material is made from several layers of laminated mylar joined with heat and pressure to form a flexible and durable shade material. These layers are coated with uvenol, a colorless UV inhibitor that screens out 99% of the ultraviolet light. Ultraviolet light is the primary cause of fading. However, visible light (blue light in particular) and heat also play a role. North Solar Screen offers different shade colors that address varying amounts of light and heat rejection. These shades are lead free.

Shade colors Clear, Amber and Smoke/Tint materials come 60" wide. Any shade whose dimensions are BOTH wider than 60" and higher than 58" will require a horizontal seam. (Ex. 75" x 75".) Silver/tint comes 72" wide. Any shade BOTH wider than 72" and higher than 70" will require a horizontal seam. (Ex. 85" x 85")

All three provide vision into a display window for a full view of merchandise on display.

~Amber - Intense Sun Fade Conditions
Use Amber for intense Sun Fade requirements for the best protection. There is some darkening of the display windows and a slight yellow color cast. Often merchants will accept less Fade protection and use Clear UV shades for greater vision into the window. Amber controls both ultraviolet and visible blue light.

~Smoke Tint and Silver Tint - Moderate Sun Fade Conditions
Smoke Tint shades can be used for street level display windows only. Their darker color provides the best heat and glare reduction without distortion of colors. They are 75% as effective as amber. Silver Tint provides better inward visibility than Smoke/Tint. It shows less dust than Clear colored shades. It is not limited to street level display windows.

~Clear U.V.- Mild Sun Fade Conditions.
Also in combination with Awnings or building overhangs.
No color distortion of merchandise. Fade protection only from Ultra Violet Light.
50% effective as Amber.

~Combination Shade is the best over all protection. Transparent Silver, Smoke Tint or Amber for Fade Protection at the lower section for maximum vision into the display window. Darker Kool Vue color above eye level (no vision in) for maximum Heat and Glare reduction. This concept works best for high windows. The color split should be near or above eye level from the street side. Check with us for current material widths to avoid extra seams.

All necessary hardware and installation instructions are included with shades. Shades wider the 60" and higher then 60" inches will need to be seamed.
