Insulate your outdoor living space with custom manufactured Heavy Duty Clear Vinyl Roller Shades. Clear vinyl allows the warmth of the sun to fully penetrate the interior space while creating a barrier against the elements. Combined with outdoor heaters, these shades help make otherwise too chilly areas warm and cozy. These shades also provide a protected area for plants. Double polished clear vinyl has a glossy finish which prevents it from sticking to itself. It is stain and moisture resistant and can withstand both hot and cold temperatures. Perfect for your patio, porch, deck, gazebo, pergola and lanai. Also great for outdoor cafes and restaurants.

Resistance to the Elements: Our vinyl has passed the rigorous 200 hour UV and Weather Test for snow and rain. It can withstand temperatures down to 0 degrees without cracking.

Shades are mounted on 3 1/4" thicker rollers to prevent sagging.
Heavy Duty Clear Vinyl is secured to the roller with sturdy splines and sealed on the ends to prevent sliding. No components will rust or corrode.
Bottom weight bar is chrome plated stainless steel with an internal steel rebar for extra strength sealed inside a sonically welded pocket. This bar has hardened stainless steel eyelets on each end that allow it to ride up and down on cables.
Cable Guide System, standard with every shade, is constructed of reinforced stainless steel aircraft cable with a UV coating. This holds the shade in place without the need of tie down loops and and is the preferred method against the wind. Cables come 2 feet longer than the shade height you order. Let us know if you need them longer. Cable system should be mounted to the concrete floor with provided tie wire drives (Cable Anchors). If you choose to mount to a wall or wood floor we recommend our Premium Unbendable Cable Wall L Bracket.
Cable bottom has turnbuckle to maintain cable tension. Shades can be lowered to 6" from the floor. The turnbuckles can also be mounted to the top if you want full coverage to the floor. The shade will not go up the last 6".
2" wide Side Rails instead of the cable system are available in 6 colors that match the head boxes. Maximum dimensions for Side Rails are 180" wide x 156" high. Side rails lock down the bottom bar of the shade only. There is a 1/4" gap between the side of the fabric and the beginning of the side rails so the fabric will not blow out. Shade will extend all the way down. Side rails require a level, even mounting surface (not more than 1/4" shim is acceptable) and the purchase of the aluminum housing.
A third alternative to tie the shades down is the Bungee Cord System but this is the least effective against the wind. Our bungee cords have solid breech snaps. We can customize sizes. The Cable Guide System is the preferred and sturdiest for windy conditions.
Optional: powder coated 5 1/2" roll formed aluminum housing to hide rollers available in 6 colors (recommended for motorized shades for additional rain proofing).
Vinyl comes 54" wide. Sonically welded horizontal seams will not come apart. Vinyl does expand and contract up to 2%.

A free properly sized Hand Brace is supplied with your order. The handle hooks into a gear which lifts or lowers the shade.
Shades must be mounted to the underside of a beam or on the face of a beam or wall. Use lag bolts when mounting into stucco.
SHIPMENTS DO NOT INCLUDE MOUNTING SCREWS or BOLTS.

An outdoor shade can be motorized using using Somfy Atlus 110v Motors with Radio Remotes. Order either a single or multichannel pre-programmed remote control, single or multi channel. Motorized shades are ready to plug into a grounded outlet or they can be hardwired to a junction box. To hardwire to a junction box, install a shut off switch for each motor or disconnect each motor from the power source to program. Pricing for motorization and remotes is below.
All remotes are pre-programmed at the factory. Each channel is set to a corresponding shade, you merely need to set the limit stops of the shade.
All motors are 120 volts and draw 2-3 amps.
Sun and wind sensors are available for outdoor shades.
Motor Timers are available for outdoor shades.
